Paris Fashion Week Review: Part 2

Paris Fashion week is in full swing: today is the 7th day of daily fashion shows in the capital of France. We already did the review on some impressions shows. What we were pleased with the designers for today?

chloeChloe

Chloe Fall-Winter 19/20 is one more brand which saluted Karl Lagerfeld: creative Director Natacha Ramsay-Levi selected archival photographs and quotes, reflecting 25 years of creativity of the designer, and printed them on souvenir postcards for guests.

The collection itself was practical, suitable for everyday wear, but romantic and feminine. Comfortable pantsuits, cozy knitted dresses with careless bows, coats and jackets, light silk blouses and skirts were central to the collection.

Inspired by the French woman-sailor Florence Artaud, the designer turned to the marine theme: it was especially noticeable in jewelry and prints ― knitted cardigans were decorated with marine paintings, and light silk blouses appeared marine patterns.

Balmain

Spikes, geometry and rock and roll are the main accents of the Balmain Fall-Winter 19/20 collection. "She has her own worldview. She's a troublemaker, and she doesn't care. She's cheeky, but she's also a paradox: she can be sweet and romantic; she can be an angel... or she could be the devil. She can not be classified," ― described Olvier Roustin woman, who has nspire him for the creation of the collection.
On the podium we saw biker leather jackets, asymmetrical mini with spikes, rough boots and dresses decorated with floral 3D embroidery.

celineCeline

The first collection of Hedi Slimane as creative Director of Celine became furious, so all of fashion critics were waiting for his new collection. And here on the podium was a real Celine 70-ies (by the way, the name in those days was written in the same way as now).

Pleated knee-length skirts, silk blouses, high patent leather boots and a small bag on a chain ― we saw Celine the way it was 50 years ago, with all the charm of everyday French chic.

Alberta Ferretti

Brand Alberta Ferretti is known for its evening dresses, but this time the designer has focused on practicality. "Times are constantly changing and so are women's needs," Alberta Ferreti said. "We have to keep up with today's rapidly changing reality." The high-waisted pants, coat, straight cut, soft colors and lots of sparkle ― even the clothes every day to do special.
